Ashlyn is a self-taught food stylist and recipe developer. She’s won several awards for her recipes and styled her way through nearly half of the the United States on a network TV series called State Plate.
She’s highly detail-oriented - as most stylists are - but she has a knack for making food look good from all angles and styling in extreme conditions. After doing shoots in the backs of refrigerated trucks and at fish farms so remote there’s no cell service, she’s kind of what you’d call a “guerrilla” food stylist. Her ability to cook and style on the go has made her an asset on non-traditional sets. She’s fried up freshly-caught trout in the backwoods of West Virginia, styled caviar at a sturgeon farm in Idaho, plated food in a salt mine in Utah, and styled shrimp boils in the low waters of South Carolina - all under 30 minutes to boot! As long as she has her food styling kit and a good source of light, she can dress a set, plate the food, and assist the photographer in a hot minute. And if you’re in need of an obscure ingredient - like puffer fish, fresh truffles, or rattlesnake - Ashlyn has probably worked with it before and can source and prepare it for you.
Ashlyn is comfortable on camera as well as behind it. She was a contestant on ABC’s The Great American Baking Show and has been a guest chef on several live news segments.
She is available for local and national shoots and is very keen to travel and work with new photographers and production crews. She loves nothing more than to highlight the best aspects of a client’s brand and to create a story though food. To see more of her portfolio visit ashlynmorgan.com.
