A problem-solving collaborator with relentless determination, paired with a career wearing a diverse set of creative hats gives Laura DeVries a fresh perspective on the art and business of food styling.

Laura worked as a graphic designer for many years in marketing and PR before launching an award-winning cupcake shop / cake bakery (named second best in America by thedailymeal.com!). She then began teaching continuing education culinary classes and working as a food stylist assistant while attending culinary school. After graduating with honors, Laura began stying and doing recipe development while continuing to assist some of the best stylists in the midwest.

In August of 2018 Laura relocated to sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, trained in bartending and mixology and graduated with merit as a WSET Wine & Spirits Specialist, Level 2. She also shoots many of her own photos and coaches local restaurants on best social media practices. Her graphic design background gives her great flexibility in editing photography and years of photo direction makes time in the studio efficient and fun. Laura is also happily now teaching culinary classes in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area.
