Photographing corn on the cob

It seems like every spring and summer, I end up photography corn on the cob.  It’s always an interesting assignment because it usually involves either an outdoor environment, or a grill.  Both are challenging food photography assignments.  How do you represent a grill?  Do you use real flames, or just the glow of red-hot embers?  As a food photographer, how do you light the food in such a way as to make it look as though it was shot in the back yard.  I love to shoot corn…
